O ld Sodh i and you ng Am ar begin to bond and Sodhi accompanies Amar to Burma (Myanm ar) for an assignment from BB C to shoot a documentary on the students against the Milit  ary Junta for freedom and demo cracy. Sodhi   meets a beautiful photo grapher Ma ya who inspires him to  change. Sodhi falls in l ove with Maya wh o joins the Indian National A rmy. Old Sod hi lands in  Burma with Amar,  and is welcome  d by a n Indian girl R ani. They acc  identally get caught in the student   prot est and firing by the Military Junta to supp ress t  he studen  t agitation. When the  soldiers of the Military Junta get ro ugh an d violent with A mar and Rani, old Sodhi  is suddenly  tran sformed into the young Lt. Sodhi and kills  the two Burmese soldiers to defend hi s group.Old So dhi and his group' s escape from the  Burmese sol diers runs paralle  l to the  attac k by the British bombe rs on Lt.So dhi&# 39;s unit. In 19 44, the Indian Natio nal Army, tired,  hungry, cold, fe  verish, sick had reached Imphal to defend it aga inst all the odds p iled heavily against them. In a school set u p by Ra ni's grandmother, Old Sodhi finds the photograph of Maya an d realizes that Maya has been dea d.
